How to Crawl on PC
The official Scream And Run controls assign C to Crawl and also to Crouch. The official text does not explain whether to tap or hold.
In this community gameplay recording, players correct their initial confusion and describe tapping C to crouch and holding C to crawl. Try the hold input and watch your character's posture, treating it as a player-reported method rather than an extra detail supplied by the developer.
Check the Action Before Using a Small Opening
A useful practice sequence is to test C while stationary, compare a brief press with a longer hold, then check what changes while moving. Use an open area where you can see the character clearly. This is a suggested input check; it does not establish an invulnerable practice location.
For sliding, the official combination is Shift + C. If you keep triggering a slide when trying to crawl, test C separately from Shift to distinguish the actions.
Limits of the Available Evidence
The recording is not a controlled comparison of movement speeds or enemy detection. This guide therefore does not promise that crawling is silent, makes you harder to detect, or lets you pass every vent or low doorway.
What is the mobile or controller crawl button? No equivalent binding was verified. Follow the on-screen prompts on your device.
Should I crawl as soon as I hear a monster? That is not a universal rule established by the control list. Choose an escape route based on what is happening in your round; learning the key does not make crawling the correct response to every chase.
