Is Hide And Seek an Official Mode?

Yes. The official Scream And Run description, checked September 21, lists Hide And Seek, Free Roam and Escape. It does not explain Hide And Seek's round duration, player roles, victory conditions or reward rules.

That distinction matters: the same description's School key-search premise is not a complete rulebook for every mode. Do not assume a five-key Escape route also tells you how to win a Hide And Seek round.

Check the Rules Shown in Your Session

Before acting on a guide, check the selected mode, the role assigned to you, any objective text, and the timer if one is shown. Make a note of what the round actually asks you to do. This is a suggested reading checklist, not a claim that every server displays all four elements in the same place.

If you are comparing a video with your game, confirm that it shows Hide And Seek rather than Escape. A hiding spot demonstrated during one mode is not automatically safe or available in another.

Published PC Inputs

Shift is Run; C is listed for Crouch and Crawl; Shift + C is Slide; F is Flashlight. These inputs come from the official description. They do not establish how noise, detection or scoring works in Hide And Seek.

Does UPD 3 mean Hide And Seek was just added? No. A current title marker and a listed mode do not establish when that mode launched.

Can I practice without monsters in Free Roam? The collected official description does not promise a monster-free mode. See the Free Roam guide for the documented VIP spawn feature and its limits.
